Enoch Nkomba, Titan of the Month, May 2026

My name is Enoch, and I am originally from Malawi. I am married and blessed with a son. I work as a Product Manager in the telecommunications industry.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, playing piano and drums, playing video games, and working on personal creative and technology projects. I also enjoy building ideas with people, whether that means organizing teams around a shared goal or turning ideas into small business initiatives.

I have been doing CrossFit for just over 12 months now. I like environments that challenge me to grow, and Titan CrossFit has definitely found many creative ways to do that.

What led you to try CrossFit?

I wanted something different from the normal gym routine. I wanted structure, accountability, surprises, and enough challenge to keep me wondering what I had walked into. Titan CrossFit felt like the perfect mix of “let’s see what happens today,” “why did I sign up for this again?” and somehow, after all the suffering, “wait, wait, I think I want more.”

Why do you continue to CrossFit?

Our WOD quickly became more than just exercise. The coaching, the community, and the constant opportunity to improve kept me coming back. I also love the twists and turns that come with it. Some days I leave feeling like Superman, and the next day I am convinced there is not a single muscle left in my body. Periodically, I have also gotten used to people asking if I am okay while I am lying on the floor after a WOD, which I now understand is just part of the full Titan CrossFit experience. It is motivating, humbling, and somehow addictive.

Describe how your attitude towards health and fitness has evolved since you began your journey.

Before Titan CrossFit, I mostly thought of fitness as just working out and trying to stay active. Now I see health and fitness as something much bigger. It has taught me to pay more attention to how I move, how I recover, how consistent I am, and how I take care of myself outside the gym too. I have also learned that progress is not always about lifting the heaviest weight or finishing first. Sometimes it is simply showing up, moving better, pushing a little harder, and realizing you are becoming stronger than you were yesterday.

Share a memorable CrossFit moment that makes you laugh or puts a smile on your face.

My first day at Titan CrossFit was actually during Friday Night Lights for the 2025 Open, which was quite the introduction. I walked in and saw what looked like a room full of superheroes doing difficult sets, and I remember thinking, “What have I gotten myself into?” But the atmosphere was electric, the energy was amazing, and everyone was cheering each other on. It was challenging, intimidating, and exciting all at once. Looking back, it still makes me smile because that first night really captured what Titan CrossFit is all about.

What are you proud of and why?

I am super proud of all the small boxes I have been able to check along the way. Things I could not do before now suddenly feel like part of a routine workout. Pull up, check. Rope climb, check. Muscle ups, umm, you are next. Those small wins mean a lot because they show real progress over time.

What's your advice for other CrossFitters or people looking to start?

Do not wait until you feel “fit enough” to start, because that day may keep moving further away. Just show up, laugh at yourself a little, listen to the coaches, and trust the process. Titan CrossFit has a way of meeting you where you are, then slowly convincing you that you can do things you once thought were completely impossible.

Why the coaches chose Enoch as Titan of the Month:

From that very first class during Friday Night Lights, Enoch has shown us again and again what determination and consistency look like. To this day, Enoch is the only Titan member who began his CrossFit journey on a crazy Friday Night Lights during the CrossFit Open. Instead of being overwhelmed that first class, Enoch jumped right in allowing Coach Alexa to guide him through a warm-up and workout. Enoch’s willingness to embrace new challenges with enthusiasm is one of the qualities that make him truly exceptional.

Enoch is a regular in our monthly Committed Club. It is clear from Enoch’s tremendous progress that he consistently works hard and is driven to be a better version of himself. Always taking the time to say hello to fellow class members, he has become an integral part of the Titan community. It has been so fun to watch Enoch’s journey as a CrossFit athlete.
